  TRIPTYCH

Sex and self-esteem served up on a platter of parody, drama, dance and old-fashioned slapstick! In a delicious feast for the senses, Impact Theatre, a collective of uniquely talented performance artists, heralds the late Spring arrival of TRIPTYCH, a 3-panelled work of music, dance and dialogue.

With insight and comic flair, TRIPTYCH focuses on the changing nature of society: how guys and dolls grapple with sexual expectations and role reversals in our modern age.
Is Man still the hunter and Woman the keeper of the hearth? Maybe not.  Maybe it once held true, but with the glass ceiling in the corporate world being shattered, so are our notions of ourselves and each other.

Its a 3-course menu of scintillating sexual combat, skewered into battles, dragons, and juicy women: a love affair with swords, and an exploration into the male and female psyches lurking behind those weapons.

Conceived and Directed by Fay Simpson with Deborah Kampmeier and assisted by Ido Mizrahy, TRIPTYCH involves an intriguing trio of interwoven panels that probe the very inner core of contemporary men and women: Eating the Dragon, Metaphysics of a RainDance and the highlycomical Juicing the Fruit.

Youll enjoy the meal!
